Garden Update- Summer in Bloom
Its time for another community garden update!
Since the last update, the garden has been transformed with the wood chipping paths. Where the area in 2019 was filled with stinging nettles and deeply rooted weeds, we were constantly weeding the paths and proposed seated area. Now with lining and a thick layer of wood chips, means we can get on with the planting and a lot less weeding. These were kindly donated by Fenn’s Tree Care.
A lot of new flowers have been planted in our raised beds. These have either been donated or grown from cuttings by the volunteers and members.
We also have our first tomatoes growing!
A bench is in production. Made from pallets donated by MSK. This bench will provide a quiet area for the shed where members can have a chat and play games outside.
