Intergenerational gardening project
Updated: Oct 22, 2019
A few weeks ago some of our shed members visited Willow Bank Primary School in Thamesmead. Shed members are working with the school to build wheelchair accessible raised planters for a new and exciting community garden.
Members have been tasked with creating the design of the planters. Many discussions have been had over the last week on ways to enhance the planter for comfortable use. Suggestions have included sun umbrella attachments, hook on gardening tool stations and even a side table for refreshing drinks after a day’s weeding.
If you have any suggestions comment below, we’d love to hear your thoughts..
